Today I had an incredible burst of energy I cleaned washed my tub and floors, made lunch and in the middle of light dusting I had to stop. I hit a wall
I can't move and feel like I just took a strong drug making me so tired and foggy. What I want to ask is, is this the fibromyalgia?

Members confirmed that sudden exhaustion after a burst of energy is a hallmark of fibromyalgia, with many sharing that overexertion often leads to days of pain, fog, and being unable to function. Several members emphasized the importance of pacing yourself, breaking tasks into smaller chunks spread across multiple days, and resting after meals to avoid crashing hard later. A recurring theme was learning to let go of perfectionism and accepting that it's better to do one thing today and stop than to push through and pay for it with days of debilitating fatigue and pain.

yes that is why i say we feel good , no pain and once again the super women comes out of us and we over do it and then wham bam , here comes the pain and down for three days i would rather do one thing today and stop and then do another thing the next day ! then to try and get it all done in one day and be hurting for days and then feel good and have to start over because the house has gotten dusty three days or so you were down and in pain ! i had to learn , i had OCD but tough myself i will not die if there is some dust on the furniture ! and other things ! as we say one day at a time ! love peace and blessings ! michele

AndreaAndiGliber I find on a good day that doesn't happen often ! I go mad trying to catch up on housework, but within a couple of hours I just crash literally run out of energy and can't do nothing else for rest of day. My husband describes it as having a pint of energy and once I've used it up in the day that is it. I try and split my day up now we either go out in the morning or stay in and get jobs done. Then rest from about 2pm onwards as I'm usually exhausted by then most times I try and catch up on some sleep. Only problem with that it's like starting day all over muscles all locked up and fibro fog and terrible stomach pain can't win !

Gotta learn to pace yourself. Don't overdo it any one day, or you will pay for it for days after. Also keep in mind the body was designed to rest after meals, to allow processing. I wouldn't try anything taxing right after eating. Give yourself an hour, then start again

YES! this is a side affect of the fibermyalgia. Sometimes I feel like I can run a marathon or climb a mountain then I crash and I hit a brick wall and just seem to be so exhausted that I could sleep 24/7
