Should I get one!
Hi Marci. I am a qualified nurse. There has to be a really good reason that your doctor wants to do a hysterectomy. Find out the problem as to why he wants to do it. If he gives you a good reason then I would suggeat that you listen to your doctor. Most doctors will not just operate for the sake of operating. Not everyone has bad reactions. Every person is different and reacts differently. You need to decide for yourself and with your doctor what you are going to do. My friend had a hystrrectomy a couple of years ago and she hasn't had any complications or problems. All the best with what ever decision you make.
Had a hysterectomy at age 28. It was necessary because after my 2nd child I had recurring uterus infections (bladder infections too) Apparently nothing went back into place. I did feel better after the surgery. The only drawback was I was unable to take any form of hormone replacement. I am 67 now and many years of hormone deficiency has taken its toll. Everyone is different and you definitely need to weigh your options. In the end, do what you'really most comfortable with
Only you know the answer to that. Each person is different. Don't base your decision on other people's scenarios because what's one person's experience may or may not be yours. Based on what I've been thru it was the best choice for me, and there's no regrets. At the end of the day you have to have peace with your choice for what you deal with. May God direct your steps. Be blessed. Hugs
I recommend it, I had one but kept my overies and it was the best decision ever.
The babies were due (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators), and came (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators), more than six weeks early, it was scary because their parents had planned to fly ✈ in the following week since I'd made it to 37+ weeks with my last twin delivery, yet because of the gestational diabetes the babies were growing bigger faster, and their birth weights were nearly exact to the first set I had delivered; 5 lbs 3oz & 4 lbs 14oz the first were 5 lbs 3oz & 4 lbs 13oz, complete irony and many jokes were being made by my nurses that my belly had a maximum weight capacity.
All of my children, all of my surrogate children are healthy and happy, and doing well, because February is the month of most births, soon everyone will change ages, get older and of course each year it reminds me that I'm still here, fighting this battle to stay alive in remission, dealing with Fibromyalgia, and always ready to share and listen🔊.
Story goes on, yes I ended up to find out I had Papillary Thyroid cancer, and from birth 2-10-13 until 6/2014 I couldn't stop bleeding vaginally 😠 due to some unknown factors, hormone imbalance⏳, they tried Endometrial ablation, birth control pills 💊 even high doses multiple a day, nothing worked, so... I had a total abdominal hysterectomy June 2014, had the worse Fibromyalgia flare I'd ever had in my life and have yet to be able to return to regular customary work. I work from home for the surrogacy agency, I'm sure out of pitty, no, I am a great Medical Professional, but it's hard being confined to your home🏠. I only worked 12 hours the entire month of January, horrible right, but I know there are some of us worse off unable to work at all. Here for you if you want to open up and share.
Since hysterectomy... hot flashes 🔥are insane, dry vagina 🍪 , low libido 🐌, cul-de-sac vagina 🆘. Never getting to have another baby ❓🐣❔, rectocele🔱〰⁉, frequently urination💧💦, all the negatives☔💨☁...
Positives: no menstrual cramps🍷, no vaginal bleeding🌹.
Make sure to @ me if you want me to see your commitment 😆
