I take an anti-depressant & a healthy does of vitaminD plus vitamin B complex. Doctor suggested I try one. This winter in Michigan has been ridiculous! I don't think I have seen the sun in what feels like a month. It's been cold, rainy, and damp which is making me more sore....like some days I don't even want to get out of my recliner. I have no ambition and when I do by the time I get ready to do something I am worn out!

I do. I have been using one for the past 15 years. I do think you should try one, you only need to use it 20 minutes a day. Try to use it in the morning when you wake up. I t will literally give you a brighter outlook!

I use a sun lamp at least twice a week and it helps. Mostly in the winter ( i am in Iowa/Nebraska ) when its cold and gray for days and days it helps my mood, brain and it warms up the bones and muscles.
I suggest it

I also spend winters in Arizona. I feel better on every level there. This winter I am in Oregon visiting my daughter and I feel such a difference. The weather is cold and damp and the sky is gray or it's raining. My mood is affected the most. I don't feel like going out and doing anything. The worst thing I can do is to become depressed and isolate because of it. I have to visit with my daughter, other family and get out of myself. As well as volunteer for my favorite charity. No matter where I am I am in pain, so I have to take care of myself, deal with how I feel about having fibromyalgia and understand that depression can easily sneak up on me. A lot
Of the time when I don't want to get out it is because I am depressed and Action is one of the best lines of defense that I have. It is easy
To say, but hard to do.

Is there anything special I should look for or avoid when buying one?
I was going to look on Amazon.
