Members expressed strong interest in using medical marijuana for fibromyalgia pain, with several sharing they were exploring it for the first time while others described years of regular use for managing sleep, anxiety, and pain flare-ups. Several members offered practical guidance, including understanding the difference between Sativa and Indica strains (with Sativa being noted as more helpful for pain), considering pill or CBD forms for those uncomfortable with smoking, and checking state regulations or consulting with doctors to obtain medical marijuana cards. A recurring theme was cautious optimism mixed with uncertainty about dosing, strains, and trusted sources, as many members navigated newly legalized programs while seeking relief from pain, fatigue, migraines, and brain fog.

Ok, so I found this fantastic article for us all! Sativa and Indica are the two types of pot, one is more of a "body buzz" while the other is more in your head. There are 85 different cannibanoids in marijuana. THC and CBD are the two most known and used. Anyway, rather than trust my memory, here's the link! http://hightimes.com/grow/understanding-the-eff...

If it's legal, there's a pill! Call your dr, see what you need to do. Smoking it is definitely not for everyone, and if I'm being honest, the way a pill works is probably better than smoking it for our pain. There are two types, so make sure you find out which one they want to try first that way you can try the other if it doesn't. Or it may be different in your state, I'm sure there's a website with all of the regulations. I'm in Ohio, and I know we have one! I need to get in touch with my own dr too haha.

I've used marijiuana regularly for years to help with persistent sleep and anxiety issues. I believe it prolonged my FM diagnosis because the pain would have been in control. It only reared its ugly head in the last year or so, and now I can totally tell when I need it. I'm not someone who uses it all day every day, 2-3 times like any med.
