Members shared mixed experiences with medical marijuana for fibromyalgia pain relief, with many distinguishing between THC (which can cause a high and nausea) and CBD oil (which provides pain relief without psychoactive effects). Several members recommended starting with very low doses of THC oil to find the right balance, obtaining a medical card to access quality products through reputable companies, and researching potential interactions with current medications before trying either option. A recurring theme was that cannabis works differently for everyone, with some finding significant relief and improved motivation while others experienced no benefit or unwanted side effects.

Good morning, buy the CBD oil. The THC is the one that makes you high. The CBD is the medical oil that helps with sickness. It won't make you high. I ordered CBD oil for myself, I will receive it in a weeks time.

I read an article that big pharma is getting into regulating CBD oil thus making it prescription based. I can't remember the name of the one they passed through but there is one CBD oil they said was now available by prescription only.

Has anyone heard about this?

I've got my medicinal card and find that Tweed where I get mine from is a great company. There is good and helpful staff on hand to help when needed. I needed to find a balance for mental illness and pain. So far so good. It doesn't take away all of the pain, but it sure does help me get motivated to get things done with less pain than usual. The blend that I use is for daytime and I find that come the night time I'm knackered and generally fall into a pretty good sleep for a full 3 hours or so. Then it is an off and on kind of a night. Pretty usual for me. Mind you, what use to take me no time to get done does take a little longer. Slow and steady. I am bless with an amazing husband who gets me and it and gives me a hand with the big things. xx
