I am wondering if anyone has experienced nausea and abdominal pain from Gabapentin? I have been experiencing a lot of pain in the upper left abdomen, with nausea. This pain has become almost constant over the last 2 months. I have had an abdominal and pelvic CT scan, as well as a lower bowel scope and upper GI. All of these tests were normal. I am beginning to think it may be a side effect. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I also have had stomach problems with gabepentin. My doctors keep saying they've never heard of this type of side effect.....don't think they believe me. Unfortunately there are very few meds that help with nerve pain.
Yes Gabapentin can cause really bad stomach pain and you will have to lower the dose
Hi, my wife has fibro and was recently diagnosed with ibs (irritable bowel). She takes lyrica, but started to get abdominal pain etc, she has had fibro the past four years, so this was a huge surprise to know have ibs as well. The abdominal pain was the bowel reacting to food that disagreed with it. She is now on a low fodmap eating plan designed to cut out certain foods that irritate the bowel. Just another source of pain that can arise. Take care and hope you find relief soo 😊
I had horrible experience with gabapentin.
