Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has had sudden cramping pain around and under the ribs. It's hard to tell if it's the ribs or if its beneath. It happens all the time, sometimes in the back and sometimes in the front, at different areas.
Abdominal ultrasound showed a small polyp in my gallbladder.
Would appreciate to hear if anyone else has such symptoms.
Thanks
Mat
Yep. I have a particular spot in my spine (around C5/6) that sparks a vice like gripping pain and cramping in my ribs, all the way around up to my sternum. Costochondritis, as per other comments above. Can be particularly disturbing, almost making someone fee like they can't breathe properly when it's bad enough. I use approximately 1million heat bags to help it. Or at least I would if I had that many! 🤓
Yes. I started doing shoulder stretches and twist my body to the sides so that I can stretch the muscles. It helps, but I understand what you mean. Sometimes I use a heating pad on the chest to ease the pain.
I get that. Yes feels like it's under your ribs. I do get it in my back as well. I keep forgetting to ask my doctor about it. I also have
Days where I get severe leg and foot cramps. It's weird!
I also get this mostly on my left side. I also was having pain for a few days recently about an inch below my front left ribs. It was tender to the touch. Not sure if that is costochondritis. Best wishes
I've had this pain for years I had chest X-ray and nothing showed up.l was diagnosed with Fibro years later.
