My fur baby is wonderful he knows something is going to happen to me before I do he pushes and barks at me until I sit down then he gets in my lap and sits and want get off of me if I push him down he jumps back up barks and cries until I get still see so just pass out I get to hot my headache are so bad the spasms in my legs and feet make me fall he know things so he make me lay down so I want hurt myself my husband calls him my body guard when I move he move always by my side I wonder can I have him registered he is small

I have my own dog registered as service dog which takes in emotional support as well as any other assist. I have trained my own dog. She is very good for me and I have no trouble with her. She knows to stand beside me when I'm on my knees and I use her as a support to stand up. It doesn't take a lot of training if the dog has a good personality and a calm nature. You can also apply to service dogs America. I believe you would have to have a doctors recommendation to get one already trained. I didn't have to. I simply registered her. When she is wearing her vest she is allowed with me in most places. To register and receive documentation and her vest cost 200.

I know quite a bit about emotional support and service dogs because I have a service dog. My husband and I used to breed Rottweilers and I would train them to do various things. You can teach a responsive dog to do just about anything. My training came from William Keeler who was a professional dog trainer in my area. My husband has since passed and due to several medical conditions that I have I was in need of a service dog. I got a rescue dog she's medium size because I live in a small apartment and can't have a large dog. I trained her to do several things but the basics are sit, down, stay, & heal ( on and off leash). From there if you do not know how to train a dog you will have to take it to a professional dog trainer to train it for your specific disability. The United States Disability Act states very clearly that a service dog does not have to be trained by a professional and that you can train them yourself. It would be a good idea to read the Disabilities Act pertaining to service dogs and it will inform you of everything that you need to do. Best wishes and good luck.
