Members connected deeply over the unpredictable and overwhelming fatigue of fibromyalgia, describing it as hitting a wall, having their plug pulled, or feeling suddenly too heavy to move even when the day started well. Several members shared strategies that help them cope, including planning rest time between errands, taking short 20-minute naps, pacing themselves throughout the day, and learning to let go of guilt when they cannot do everything they once could. A recurring theme was the importance of self-compassion and accepting limitations without shame, with many members finding strength in faith, supportive workplaces, and the understanding that this unpredictable exhaustion is not something they chose or can fully control.

Yes it happens time frequently when I’m out or even when I’m home chatting to family and friends. It’s so unpredictable that’s the problem. 😊😘

I have had this happen to me also and at worst time. I'm working on accepting and adapting. Here to all the fibro warriors!!

Yes, we call it hitting the wall. I may be grocery shopping or cooking a big meal and I have to just stop.

Dawners, thank you. We may as well accept it and learn to do what we can and not feel guilty about the rest. After all, I don't believe that any of us chose to have Fibro, so why feel guilty about what we can't control.
