Members confirmed experiencing breast pain related to fibromyalgia, with many initially worrying it might be a heart issue before learning it was simply another manifestation of their condition. Several members identified costochondritis, inflammation where the ribs meet the sternum, and trigger points in the chest area as common sources of the pain, with stretching, massage, and topical treatments like Tiger Balm providing some relief. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out serious causes through proper medical evaluation while recognizing that breast and chest wall pain is a legitimate and often misunderstood part of living with fibromyalgia.

Costocondritis - inflammation where the ribs insert into the sternum... kills like all heck. I stretch over backwards over the end of the bed etc, do the trigger points, and use tiger balm or similar. We also have lots of tissue in that area and glands so it will hurt.

Yes, I have. Out of know where it will just start hurting. I told my husband and he thought I was having heart issues. Heart was fine. Just another place to hurt.
