I am finding that my narcotics that I've been using for years are not working as well as they used to. I'd rather not do and increase the dosage again. Beyond the opioids, I've tried a slew of things including Acupuncture, Lyrica, Gabapentin, and Cymbalta.. Currently getting physio & some osteo..
I was hoping to get some feedback about what you in the fibro community has found to work well for you..

Members shared a wide variety of approaches to managing fibromyalgia pain beyond opioids, with many describing CBD capsules derived from hemp as a helpful supplement that reduced their reliance on hydrocodone without producing a high, while others found relief through combinations of muscle relaxers, magnesium supplements, and medications for anxiety and depression. Several members emphasized how intertwined pain, anxiety, and sleep are in fibromyalgia, noting that managing mental health symptoms also helped reduce physical pain levels. A recurring theme was the deeply individual nature of fibromyalgia treatment, with members acknowledging that what works well for one person may not work for another, and encouraging continued experimentation and self-advocacy.

StitchNFrog, I've been on soon many different meds and most of them I couldn't tolerate. So I'm on Oxcycodone and a muscle relaxer. Lyrica made me gain an enormous amount of weight that sent me into ore-diabetic, Cymbalta, I couldn't take that either. My Pain Management Dr had me in a med called Ecotral but I developed a duodenal ulcer from that. So, for me it's just the oxcycodone and muscle relaxers. Howwver, I've been treated for depression and anxiety so I'm on Effexor Xr and klonopin and those help some of my pain. As you probably already know, with fibro, when my pain gets bad, my anxiety almost triples. So I take the klonopin. However, the Dr that prescribes my klonopin has been reducing the dosage. I've been on 4 mg of klonopin for ovér 10 years and in the last two months she has reduced it to 2 mg per day. Needless to say, i'm not sleeping more than 2 hours a night and I have no appetite. I have to force myself to eat once a day. I have an appointment with her on the 29th and I'm going to demand she at least keep me at 3 mg a day. Warm showers don't help me. Some people have said they help them. But as we all know, everybody is different. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Gentle hugs.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I got my CBD from amazon.com. It was around $26 for a months supply which is one per day. I take it in the morning. My understanding is that this is from the Hemp plant. Can't get from the marijuana plant yet in Ohio even tho it was passed as medical recently.
Good luck.

Where do you get CBD capsules?

CBD is an oil from he hemp plant. I take one capsule per day and it has cut my Hydrocodone need by at least two per day, some days I don't need any Hydrocodone. It does Not make you high, because they remove the THC which is the component that induces the high and the munchies.
