Members overwhelmingly confirmed that tighter clothing and certain fabrics can trigger significant pain, with many describing discomfort from jeans, underwire bras, tight waistbands, and even bedsheets, often comparing the sensation to a severe sunburn. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped, including switching to soft cotton or silky materials, wearing looser-fitting clothes or sizing up, choosing sports bras without underwires, removing tags, and using softer winter sheets year-round. A recurring theme was prioritizing comfort over appearance without shame, with many members embracing stretchy leggings, oversized sweatpants, and bra-free days at home as essential acts of self-care in managing fibromyalgia symptoms.

I never wear a bra around the house. When I wear a bra--no underwire. Cotton panties--never any lace. Usually athletic type clothes are worn with NO tags.
