Since my fibromyalgia got significantly worse in 2015 after a very bad stomach bug, I find my memory is terrible and I get easily confused especially when I'm trying to handle multiple things at one time. My ability to multi-task and focus has drastically diminished.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing significant memory loss and confusion, commonly known as fibro fog, with many describing it as one of the most frightening and frustrating symptoms of fibromyalgia. Several members shared practical coping strategies including writing everything down in lists and journals, setting phone reminders for appointments and medications, using GPS even for familiar routes, tackling one task at a time to avoid overwhelm, and trying supplements like nootropics, flaxseed, and essential oils. A recurring theme was the fear and embarrassment of forgetting mid-conversation, misplacing items, or blanking on loved ones' names, with many worrying about early Alzheimer's, yet members found comfort and validation in realizing they were not alone in this struggle.

My memory is all about gone. I can't tell u what I did yesterday. Some days I can't tell my boyfriend what I did during the day. I find my self a lot of times stopping in the middle of a conversation n saying what were we talking about. It's embarrassing. I have list everywhere. If I don't write down my meds right when I take them I forget. It's scary

Exactly the same, have to write everything in my diary, then I cant find it. Cant remember whole conversations sometimes, or what I did the day before, it can be quite scary and I wonder how frustrated people must get when I cant remember things. On a positive note, on days that are good my memory improves also.

o for sure your mind gets fuzzy. its embarrassing at times because I have a good education. but that means nothing because I for get most things. My family does not understand how I can be this way. and then add the awful headaches on top of that . forget speaking at all. I go out of my way to avoid conversation. and that is not like me.
