Members overwhelmingly confirmed that bruising easily is a common experience with fibromyalgia, with many describing mystery bruises appearing without any memory of injury and often taking longer than usual to heal. Several members shared possible contributing factors including low vitamin levels (especially Vitamin C and D), blood-thinning medications, NSAIDs, low platelet counts from underlying conditions, and poor circulation, with practical suggestions like getting a CBC test, checking nutrient levels, and using arnica cream or lavender oil for relief. A recurring theme was the frustration of unexplained bruising paired with reassurance that as long as bloodwork checks out normal, it is likely just another challenging symptom of living with fibromyalgia.
