I've had unexplainable arm pain in my left arm for about three years now. It causes numbness and tingling in my hand. It's my dominant hand but I feel like I'm losing strength. I think I used to be able to feel my rings more than I do now. I'm not sure if it's in my head or real. Anyone else? The palms of my hands (especially left one) burn a lot, like they were on the stove.
Sorry to say yes to both . My hands get sharp pains, plus other time numbness. My shoulders, all the way to my hands. They ache so much I could, at times, cry my eyes out. I was told I have torn rotator cuffs, but having had surgery in my right side I'm not prepared to have surgery again.
Yes, I have had both. HOWEVER, a couple of years ago, I kept putting off getting it checked (based on the usual fibro pains/issues) but it turned out that I had a herniated disk in my neck and ended up having neck surgery. If you're arm is getting weaker and you're losing sensitivity, you may want to get it checked to be sure.
Thank you Janiegirl. I've had MRIs on my neck and two cervical epidurals. I have a mild herniation in my neck but a neurosurgeon said that I didn't need surgery. He is actually the one that said he thinks I have fibromyalgia. He amount of pain I have isn't equal to the amount of injury on my spine. He said the herniated discs were normal wear and tear for my age.
I also get bad numbness n tingling. I have lost my strength. I can hardly open a bottle. After winter I'll be in physical therapy for my arms n neck to try n get some strength back
What finally got me to a doctor was severe pain on my left side. I thought I had a stroke. I get the pain on n off on both sides of my body
