Achy Hands
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have achy stiff hands. Since the weather is turning colder my hands hurt. Any suggestions on what helps?

if you buy those carpal tunnel hand things to sleep in those help. If you are working and they start hurting if you put your fingers in one hand and stretch the fingers by bending them backwards stretching them. Them massage the center of your palms. Its a helpful but not a perm fix. Every little bit helps

@Jner...first off i just have to say i love the way your name is spelt....very unique! ☺
Now to answer jour question, I also had carpel tunnel syndrome and had both wrists operated on.
Big difference with the feeling coming back into my arms, no numbness.
But....the aching in my fingers and hands have not gone, nor has trying to make a fist gone. All that, for me anyway has parf to do with Osteoporosis and Fibromyalga.
(I have to appoligize if my spelling is way off. The Fibro and flare ups have cauused my eyes to become very dry, right eye the worst, so he my specialist of 25yrs, cannot get a proper reading) and my sweeties are in bed, one which is in my roon where the big computer is. So im stuckusing my cell.
Anyway @A MyFibroTeam Member, right to the point the surgery for carpel tunnel fixed the carpel tunnel problems i was having. The making a fist ONLY happens if i have had a couple glasses of wine, which is far and few between. Between the osteo and fibro my hands are screwed. Trying to peel potato's and things like that, mess my hands bad!!!!
Mabe wearing a hand/wrist split may help ME.
Remember what i have said before. We are ALL individual people with individual symptoms, what works for me may not work for you, but might work for the fifth personreading this!!!
Thats why when i found this group i was sooo happy. There were people giving ideas of what worked for them and what didnt work. So i have ideas for exercises, alternative medicine, vitamins i should be taking, oils. BUT ANYTHING I WANT TO TRY...I WRITE DOWN SO I DONT FORGET ANYTHING AND RUN IT PAST MY DOTOR FIRST!!!
i just wanted to be very clear on that.
So i hope i answered your questions...i can ramble alot! lmao!! talk soon peeps!! 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤

I have carpal tunnel along with fibro, etc. I have to wear ace wrists band on both my hands on a daily basis. I have yet to find anything to ease it.

Yes ....all the time. Does not matter about the weather it matters about how much i use them or if i am in a flare up!!!
I cannot close my fingers to touch my hand...and it hurts.
That is what prompted my doc to do an ANA test which was positive and then test for Fribro

I found some little hand warmers in Poundland here in the UK. You can slip them inside gloves, but what I prefer to do is just hold them. I often put it on the back of my hand along my knuckles and fingers and it seems to help. They're one use only, but cheap enough to be worth it. You just active the chemicals, a bit like a glow stick, and it heats up. Hope you feel better soon. X
