Anyone have experience with a tender, swollen spot on the side of the neck?
I looked up goiter. It's thyroid. I don't have any history of problems here but I haven't been thoroughly studied imo.

I think both of you should see an endocronologist?
Yes,doctors haven't done any investigations. They claim it would be too difficult to do ???
I have had it there for approximately 23 years on the left side of my neck..??
Thank you, Rhonda74. :)
Thyroid check was normal.
The lump is going down!
Headaches, malaise, chest pain going away after a productive cough.
It seems it was an infection-swollen lymph node.
Thanks for your support! :)
We're not sure it's thyroid. We had blood drawn to check. It's on the side-lymph-and likely infection. I was not given antibiotics. We only discussed ultrasound but didn't do it. I feel very ill and am scared. If I don't heal soon I must push for diagnostics ASAP.
I have lots of cousins who had them and my sister has one she refuses to have removed. She now has dementia. This situation is very dangerous so you need a doctor.
