Yesterday my right brest was so painful I couldn't sleep. Came on so suddenly and thankfully now it's calmed a bit. IT was similar to pmt but worse and now I've been on the pill for 6 months for pmt without incident. Could it be fibro related? Any thoughts?

Members discussed whether sudden, severe breast pain could be fibromyalgia-related, with several sharing that they experience similar pain, often intensifying around their menstrual cycle or linked to Raynaud's syndrome. Many members described the pain as sharp or resembling the sensation of milk coming in after childbirth, with practical relief strategies including hot water bottles, staying still during episodes, and taking medications consistently to prevent flares. A recurring theme was the importance of mentioning persistent symptoms to a doctor rather than automatically attributing everything to fibro, while also acknowledging the condition's wide-ranging manifestations.

Hello,

I get this and asked my g.p. he said it is related to Raynaud's that is an 'add on' to Fibro, it reminded me of when i first gave birth and the milk started to come in - like a cold burning pain. I have found that a hot water bottle can help it a bit and also not moving, so all i can do is cuddle up with my hottie and wait for it to pass. Hope you manage to get it sorted and take care x

Maybe if you get the pain a lot I should mention it to your Dr , sometimes we blame fibro for everything, when sometimes its not realated at all.

Yes it is related, I have had this pain before.....usually more around my menstrual cycle though, which makes all my pain escalate!
