Members connected over their shared IBS diagnosis, with many identifying gluten, dairy, and sugar as common triggers, though several noted that triggers vary widely from person to person, with some affected by eggs, stress, or still unsure what sets off their symptoms. Several members shared dietary approaches they're trying, including low-FODMAP, gluten-free, paleo, autoimmune paleo, and the GAPS diet, with mixed results and the common challenge of managing cravings, especially for sugar, alongside the expense and effort of specialty groceries. A recurring theme was the frustration of navigating elimination diets through trial and error while dealing with limited time, energy, and the difficulty of resisting temptation in everyday life.

I'm trying to avoid gluten, lactose and soya. I have to buy my aliments in a special grocerie and it is so expensive. I don't have the time and energy to cook everything myself.

I'm trying to go on a paleo diet- no wheat, dairy and eggs. It's so hard because there is so much temptation at my house. Wheat is the hardest one for me to do. There is a great website called Phoenix Helix. Might find some resources there

Yep. Was diagnosed approx. 15 years ago. Presently trying to go lactose free since it seems to help a little bit.

Try the GAPS diet. It is doing wonders for me.
