You Don't Have To Live With Fibro Symptoms......
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just read an article that says that with the proper medication, diet, exercise and mental therapy you can live symptom free from Fibromyalgia. Does anyone on here live symptom free? This has made me really upset so please be kind. I am upset because so far nothing has stopped the symptoms. Makes me feel there is something wrong me.

The answer to this will vary depending on the person. I know several people with fibro who are able to live normal lives and aren't bothered by the fibro much at all. There have been times in my life when my fibro wasn't as much of a problem. It seems to go in cycles for me. I'll be doing well for a while then I'll hit a bad patch. Everyone is different and our stories are all different. What works for one of us doesn't necessarily work for all of us. It is a process of finding what will help you live the best life you can. For me, that involves daily exercise and lots of doctors and medicine.

Unfortunately there r lots of things on the internet that promises you can be symptom free they have fibro pills fibro diets etc. It's best that u work with ur doctor and treat each symptom. I have been told by my fibro doctor that some ppl benefit from a gluten n dairy free diet n 'recommend trying each one for a month. I started going to physical therapy which helped me n got me out of the house. Walking is great n a good way to clear ur mind. I'm in therapy as well n it helps. It comes down to finding what helps n works for u. N I understand ur frustration. Just the other day I had a little brake down. But we have to remember we r doing our best. I hope u feel better soon. Best of luck 💜

Thats what everybody told me too when I was diagnosed; just follow a diet and you're cured. Well no! It doesnt work that way. I have tried alot of things. The only things that really helps until now is CBD oil. It's from marihuana but without THC so you wont get high from it. It's a pitty it's still illegal in so many countries

Nothing wrong with you sweety. Fibro is as individual as you are. What works for one person maybe of no use to another. Writers like this generalize as if we are all alike. They remind me of the system that says all children at the same age are at the same learning level. Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm happy for someone who has found something to give them a better quality of life. Whatever you can find to feel better do it for yourself. Blessings

I've had fibro for nearly 20 of my 36 years. For me, the severity has varied over the years. Sometimes I feel great for months at a time but unfortunately the pain always comes back. I've not found anything that makes it completely go away but I do know some folks who have managed to go years without flares. I've tried to learn to roll with the punches as best as I can. You may just need to keep talking to your doctor and try new things until you find a combo of things that bring you the most relief. Gentle hugs and hope for you to find the path of least symptoms.
