OMG Rosslyn...I am so sorry. Get an attorney immediately. I would highly suggest anyone wanting to go on disability to get one. They can also guide you and remind you about appointments, etc.
I did not get my disability for fibro. It was a component but how I got it was from the diabetic gastropareisis (delayed emptying) That messed with my blood sugars and ability to take the correct amount of insulin. I also had hypoglycemic unawareness and got it because of that. If you have diabetes you need 2 things diabetes related to apply. We also used chronic pain but never used the word fibromyalgia. I think in my parts, at the time, they thought fibro was more of any excuse. But, if you have a good attorney, I think it makes all the difference. There were references to chronic pain, tests, inability to work, etc. But I do believe I got it because we bombarded them with paperwork. There is no way anyone could go through it all. So thats my suggestion. If you have any other illnesses, your attorney should request the reports. If you pile everything together, it may help. Remember, if you have an attorney, you only pay them if you win, and they take the money right out of the check so you never see it. Please keep us informed!

Last year Fibromyalgia received its own diagnosis code. (10/1/15) ICD-10-CM. It is recognized by the national center of health. They said that the code improves the chances for application for disability benefits

Wow am sad for you. I'm not an attorney, but I worked in Risk management for a large school district. We had people who went out on fibro, and they had a fight on their hands. Get an attorney. Work comp can delay a case ...and it's a game they play..sorry to say that but I was behind the scenes. Get an attorneythat is aggressive. Document everything, any phone conversations with employer follow it up with a conformation. Furthermore look and see who wins these cases. Word of mouth is good, or I have gone on the internet. Best of luck to you, just remember it is a long process, and I pray you get the resolution you are looking for. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel. I am praying for you.

I have my hearing in December. However I have other issues in addition to Fibro, you need a GOOD lawyer. Your issues shouldn't have happened, so sorry this happened to you
