Members shared what their sleep studies revealed, with the most common findings being sleep apnea, often severe enough to cause hundreds of breathing interruptions per night, alongside low oxygen levels and an inability to reach restorative REM sleep. Several members described life-changing relief after starting CPAP therapy, with some requiring supplemental oxygen due to conditions like COPD or emphysema, while others discovered additional issues such as restless leg syndrome, insomnia, or chronic fatigue syndrome through their studies. A recurring theme was the value of finally understanding why sleep felt so unrefreshing and finding targeted treatments that significantly improved sleep quality and overall well-being.

Yes, I had one done a few years ago and it showed that I have sleep apnoea and stop breathing around 800 times during a 5 hour rest period. It was called rest because it also showed I never got into REM sleep where your body actually does recovery tasks. The hospital also determined that my oesophagus partially collapses so I restrict my breathing causing snoring noises, but also reduces my oxygen levels in my blood flow. All told, a lot was determined.
