I too have been struggling with weight loss. I can't seem to exercise enough and change my eating habits enough to see a loss. It's so frustrating!
I have found that aerobic exercise works wonders. I started very small - just a few minutes on a bike on it's lowest setting or a walk down the block. It helps pain levels enormously, but stretching and drinking lots of water are key. I would say give it a go, but start small! :-)
That seems inappropriate, newest info from my rheumatologist rec exercise in 5-10min intervals several times a day. I could never do aerobics without paying for it. Hugs, take care and listen to your gut.😃
Ditto. My pain management dr told me the other day. You should try aerobics to help fibromyalgia. My mind froze at that time. But I will get him next appt. if I attempt to do aerobics I will lay in bed for at least three weeks!!!! I tried Kundalini Yoga and it took me three weeks to recuperate.
I gained a lot of weight in a very short period of time, which made my fibro worse. I had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery 6 years ago. With all of my medications I couldn't get rid of it, even with all the 5:00 a. m. gym time. I finally made the decision and lost 104 pounds pretty fast and my fibro was better than ever. In the last 1-2 years, though, my fibro has been back to terrible!
