I am 41years old &I have suffered with severe Fibromyalgia & CFS since 25. I have always felt I have been misdiagnosed as my condition has deteriorated to point now where I can barely walk due to chronic pain&fatigue&housebound most of time despite my trying all treatments &different meds available on NHS but nothing has helped.I was originally diagnosed by Rheumatology but knowing what I know now I don't think that they did enough tests before coming to this conclusion&I don't think that the… read more

CFS was horrible. I could sleep for weeks. I did some research & some studies were done w adderal. They found it significantly helped the fatigue and not lying in some level of stupor all month, I was able to get out of bed daily do It also helps your pain. I get most of my info out of the American Paiñ Specialist Journals. That way they cant throw the old " you cant belive everything you read online" That drug literally gave me my life back. Too tired to take pain meds until the pain was severe enough to wake me but as soon as the pain was gone back to bed Id go. Ive experienced exhaustion, fatigue was a whole new sport!

Most of us with fibro tend to have other problems on top of it. I have nemerous ones and can't go too far. I got every test they can do to dignose fibro it took around 4 years of constant and awful pain leaving me with unteem trips to the GP. Out of hours etc and I had all the pain points over my entire body so the gp said by right I should have been diagnosed well before I was ...bummer but what could I do....

Hi I have major degenerated discs on my upper and lower back which are prolapsed so badly they re fused till my vertebra. I ve been sent to orthepedic surgery dept and had MRI and CT scanning . surgery was discussed as the discs have caused permanent nerve damage on my left side and I no longer have much feeling in my lower bowel. I m trying to hold back surgery aa ling aa i possibly can but am finding the pain situtation getting so much worse lately, I m only guessing it wud b the orthepedic dept you wud be sent to and also the pain clinic to see about pain relief if your in a lot if pain Luke I am. Good luck and I hope you get seen soon.

You would think he would know by your pain points there's like 18 of them on your body and having degenerative disc disease is a completely different problem. My back was diagnosed years ago, and then the fibro started in 2011. Completely unrelated he said . mine started after fracturing my lower left ribs on my left side due to having osteoarthritis. If you have over 11 pain points on your body you most certainly have fibro but as you say those gps can be hard as hell to get to look you over properly. I hope you get sorted 1 way or the other..
