Does anyone have MPS with fibromyalgia? Also do you have pain in different areas if your daily? I seem to with exception of my hands and lower
legs.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have myofascial pain syndrome also. Was initially diagnosed with MPS.
Noticed that you are an RN as well. There seems to be a lot of us nurses here. Probably because many of us share info naturally. I don't know about you but I can't stand seeing misinformation that others are reading. I try to always write a disclaimer..that's my experience, never stop any meds without checking with your doc, etc.
Anyway getting back to MPS my pain has been everywhere except my abdomen. My pain dr. said there are many physicians who lump it into fibro. Many don't know trigger points from tender points.
I am lucky. I've never had a dr say push through the pain. Whenever I've tried to push thru the pain all I get is more pain. I've had this 30 years. I've fired a few dr because they couldn't be openminded or even refer me.
As n ICU nurse I had contact with many dr. I chose my team carefully. Tomorrow I see my DO for manipulation. That reminds me. It sounds like you have TMJ or something similar. My osteopath will do soft tissue manipulation because my teeth aren't lined up and gives me pain.
It's been about 2 months since you posted. I hope you feel better now. Also I'm a retired RN. It helps to be able to rest as soon I twist, pull, spasmed, etc..
@A MyFibroTeam Member Yes I have taken Lyrica for many years. The only med that helps me get out of bed. It has a lot of side effects. I have memory problems all the time plus Fibro Fog. I guess you could say we have "double trouble."

I have MPS diagnosed 28 years ago by chronic pain specialist. My other docs started using /fibro possibly because they know /fibro better. I do have both and I have had pain everywhere at one time or another.
