I hated Cymbalta- nausea, sweating a lot- didn't help my pain. Getting off it was awful- brain zaps and whole 9 yards.

I take it. Generic Duloxitene. It seemed to work really well, but lately my flare ups have been horrible. It may just be stress aggravating me though. Just went through the Hurricane weekend, I'm a teacher and school has been back for 9 weeks, have a grandbaby on the way, and, well, just life. I hate the idea of going to the doctor and asking for something in addition. Makes me feel like I'm asking for drugs...which I guess I am. LOL

I had good results with Cymbalta. Unfortunately it can cause severe sweating, which for me was very true on top of the hot flashes! Lyrica was useless!

I'll keep Lyrica in mind as a backup. Thank you!!

I took Cymbalta for 3 months and had to stop because it made my heart pound. After that I was prescribed Lyrica and that changed my life for the better :)
