Members rallied around someone struggling with severe insomnia and chronic pain, sharing the exhausting reality of surviving on only one to two hours of sleep per night and the dangerous drowsiness that follows. Several members recommended prescription medications that have worked for them, including nortriptyline, trazodone, doxepin with clonazepam, and zopiclone, while others suggested natural remedies like chamomile tea, lavender oil, melatonin, and sleep hypnosis videos on YouTube. A recurring theme was the vicious cycle between pain and sleep, with many emphasizing the importance of working closely with a doctor to find the right solution, especially when other medical conditions limit medication options.

I saw a locum gp who gave me Zopiclone sleeping tablets for 7 days until I saw my usual GP. He said unless your sleep is under control you have no chance getting anything undercontrol. When I saw my GP he put me on nortriptyline I'm currently taking 20mg a night and is has stopped my silly napping sleep. But I still only get 2-3 solid hours. I'm suppose to up it to 30mg on Friday x
