Anyone who is on pain patches ever notice when they change it that some places are more effective then others? I have been on the fentanyl patch which I had several problems with and felt like I was on a roller coaster of pain. I'm currently on the butrans patch only because I have no other choice. My patch was increased and I put a new one on Tuesday morning. This being a higher dose but I feel like I am in more pain then I was on the lower dose. @A MyFibroTeam Member I have been told by the pharmacist that they must be in the torso area to give maximum effect. I have found my durogesic patch (very small) so good I am really anew person, now to find a tablet for the chronic fatigue. X
I have a lovely picture from just after I had been taking my kids to the beach almost each day .. And it was from a family BBQ ... On top of my shoulder is a bright white square of skin where the rest is brown from the sun .... I kid you not

I am on durogesic patches and I put then just under my bra line and they are wonderful.
I fentanyl patch...I think it helps a lot.
My dr told me to put it on my butt area, the more flesh, the better it works. I put it about where my pocket of my jeans hit.
