I received injections in my neck yesterday and while I was there I took the opportunity to talk to my pain Dr. I do love him. Sweet sweet man and genuinely cares about trying the best for you but the DEA and DOJ have made up some bull crap rules that the Drs have to abide by or the govt will go after them with everything they have. They are trying to destroy a Drs practice and his assistant with over dosage of pain meds even though his patients are fully documented but if the DOJ can't find anything to pin there they look into insurance and anything to tear him down and put him in prison. My dr said he woke up with the real fear one night of being in prison and felt heart break because he want going to see his 11y/o graduate high school or walk her down the isle. That's horrible! No dr who genuinely cares to treat people should have that fear. I wouldn't wish the pain I suffer on a daily basis on absolutely anyone but this non therapeutic treatment is in humane. No one who has ever felt pain like we do would feel right about this neglegance. Something has to give. They should be more concerned with the drugs on the streets that are synthetic or the patients they know who are constantly asking for more then to the people who have years of documentation with proven medication treatment to work or not and having been on a routine of meds for years where I never asked for more functioned well then they drop or change meds and I'm constantly begging for relief. I am using more norco then prescribed and I'm scared to death because when I run out then what? I have always had extra, ALWAYS!

No,you are not alone we are treated like rats try this try that but the one thing that works they take it away because now its an addiction (opioid) and no one wants to be looked at like a druggie so we try diffrent things only to find out nothing eles is giving you relief like your old meds so i guess its safe to say we are supposed to tolerate the pain and not be druggies....im so sorry you are uncomfortable and i hope things get better for you xx's

Jaml I hoarded as well. I had at least a month backup just in case. I had put extras in my purse bathroom nightstand and car. I always had extra. But since this new dr has tried all this mix up I have completely used my extras. I have told him everything that's in my system when I see him so he can document the crap he gave me didn't work. Now I have been taking more norco then prescribed. I just want my morphine back. That will give me life back and I can function again. My kids are tired of frozen meals. So sad! That's not me. I used to make healthy meals every night.

IT sucks. It makes you feel like a low life sometimes. Why cant I just get my meds without proving myself. I take gabapentin, flexeril, and norco. Right now I get NORCO 6 aday. This is the highest the let you have. It works 75% of the time. I had tried tramadol. It really didnt work. BUT I had some left over and tried them during the day and the norco in the evening and night. I asked dr if I could do that and she said no. They dont advise to narcotics. I sign a contract. Do exactly what I am told to do.

Thanks for all who have responded. I just wanted to know how things were working around other parts of the country or were they just focusing on certain areas.
