I have had awful fibro fog going on for several months now. Does anyone else have it for that length of time? I was wondering if it might be my meds since its gone on for so long. I can't remember if something happened yesterday or several days ago. It's getting really bad.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I do have Fibro Fog a lot. I can only do one thing at a time. I use to multi-task and it was so easy but now it is so hard. If I don't keep my mind on what I am doing I go off and do something else and don't remember to finish the task I was on. It is embarrassing when talking to someone and you forget what you were going to say. Hope the fog will get better. Have a great weekend with NO PAIN.

Seems I was like that for a long time... I just had my doctor change my meds from gabapentin to lamictul and it seems to be making a difference. A good one, I seem to be remembering better and have a little more energy. And that has been a huge problem for me.
I know what that is like. I am an adult upgrading instructor; therefore, it can be even more embarrassing. I can remember trying to teach something, and my thoughts went completely out of my head. What is even more fun is when you are meet someone that you know really well, and you cannot remember his or her name. Take care all. Gentle hugs
I think the research into the infection link to fibro is new. Many doctors may not have heard of it yet unless they are really up to date with their fibro information. It would be nice if we all could take an antibiotic to get well.
I had fibro fog pretty bad there for a while. Couldn't say words and would have a lot of pauses in my sentences. It was always worse on a bad pain day. I'm not saying at all that you should do this but I decided to get off all my fibro medication. I tried everything and I really didn't feel I benefited from any of it. They all had such bad side effects and literally all of them had nasty withdrawals so I decided to take about two months and got off all except for one percocet every other day.
So the result of that for me was three things. Pain was exactly the same. My issues with swallowing disappeared. And last, my fibro fog, gone. I have had not one day of fog.
Everyone is different so I am not recommending you do this. But maybe, just maybe????? could it be one of your meds?
Just something to think about when we are all wide awake at 2am! Lol!
I sure feel for you and understand. It's the worst feeling so I hope you find something that works. Don't ever give up!
