So this has nothing to do with fibro but I need some ideas.
My teenage son is so hard to get up in the morning for school. He'll lay there until I'm yelling at him that it's time to go. It's so frustrating n I don't have the strength to keep fighting every morning
Please help

Put an alarm clock in his room. He has to be responsible for himself and accountable. Tell him the length of time he is late for school is the amount of time he will sit in detention. Now, make sure you tell the secretary so when he comes in late he will get a detention slip. Maybe if he can't do what he wants after school he will be more responsible. He's not a baby anymore. Mom isn't his servent.
I make sure that my alarm goes off when my daughter has to get up. I will call her phone before I get up. In the beginning she gave me a hard time always late. One day I said enough and made her go to school in her pajamas! She never did that again.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I was one of those kids a long time ago. My Mother would get a cold wash cloth, come in and wash my face. You bet I got out of the bed then. I guess that would depend on whether or not he is smaller than you and you can handle him. Also taking his cell phone away if he doesn't get up, let him know he will have to get up each morning when you tell him to or he won't get it back. Anything that he is crazy over, take it away and tell him he has to earn it back. Yes, we were tough on our girls but it worked. Good luck!
I know some may think this to be extreme. But if your teenager has a phone, take it in the other room and call it. This usually will at least make them get up to retrieve the phone. Best of luck, I've been there 3 times each responded different.
Same way I kept my dog from jumping on visitors...keep a trigger sprayer full of cool water on hand...lol
