Due to the ever dreaded fibro fog, I cannot remember if I have asked this question, so if I have I apologize!!! Does anybody else have large, painful knots in your thighs??? I have brought them to the attention of my pcp and he said they might be fatty. My daughter has had a Lypoma on her back and that is what they feel like. Maybe that is what my doc meant, because Lypoma is fatty tumors (benign). UGH, they are very painful!!

Members connected over the question of painful knots in thighs, with many sharing that they experience similar knots throughout their body that doctors have attributed to fibromyalgia, tense or twisted muscles, or lipomas (benign fatty tumors). Several members described relief strategies including massage therapy, foam rollers or tennis balls for self-massage, nerve block injections at chronic pain clinics, magnesium glycinate supplements, and CBD or cannabis oil, while a few mentioned that acupuncture provided only temporary relief or didn't work for them. A recurring theme was the frustration of constant pain and the importance of advocating for oneself by seeking second opinions or consulting specialists like rheumatologists, especially since lipomas can sometimes become problematic and warrant removal.

I am sick of being in constant agonising pain, I am now on the sick have been for nearly 3 weeks, am on the sick for depression and anxiaty, I have got an appointment to see someone in the mental health, and have got an appointment with someone in mind. My hands are painful and swollen, my feet hurt and I find I can't walk as far as I used to, and I forget things all the time.

I have pains in my thighs which feels like axes cutting into my thighs, but when I feel them, they are probably tender points that are inflamed. Much hugs

I tried acupuncture but it didn't work for me. Maybe I didn't stick with it long enough. I think I have tried everything anyone ever suggested over the years. Nothing ever worked. I am a firm believer that it is a malfunction or miscommunication with the CNS. A haywire central nervous system. It goes haywire because of prolonged stress, injury or illness. I just haven't conquered reprogramming or retraining it yet. I have started qigong which is an ancient Chinese form of "walking meditation". It has been around for over 5000 years and is noted to help with healing. I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

@A MyFibroTeam Member what is your definition of a muscle knot? Muscle knots do vary in size and you can have hundreds of them at the same time. Sometimes they will hurt more than other times.

These are not really muscle knots. They vary in size and they hurt. I cann tell when they are inflamed. Just another thing to cause pain.
