Members responding to a question about random bruising in fibromyalgia patients shared a wide range of experiences, with many reporting unexplained bruises that appear without clear cause or memory of injury. Several members pointed to overlapping conditions like hypermobility syndrome (where excessive flexibility may weaken tissue), low iron levels, lupus anticoagulant, or dysfunctional myofascial systems as possible contributors to easy bruising. A recurring theme was uncertainty about whether bruising is directly caused by fibromyalgia itself, though many members suspect a connection and emphasized the importance of discussing persistent or unusual bruising with a healthcare provider.

Im not sure, but I think I read somewhere that it is common. I know I bruise real easy, could be the meds maybe. Hope your feeling well today.

yes I get odd bruising on the palms of my hands and on fingers by joints. I usually feel a stinging on the finger then the bruise forms quickly. might go away in half an hour or last for days.

I don't know but I never know where I got the latest bruise from

We bruise so easily because of our dysfunctional Myofascia system. We knock against something and it causes a clog in the waste distribution system under our skin.

@A MyFibroTeam Member, I have hyper-mobility as well. I wonder how many of us do. I also bruise easily (lupus anticoagulant). Wonder how many have that as well.
