Is Anyone Using DHEA To Help Alleviate Symptoms?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I read that DHEA can help lesson pain. Has anyone else tried this and if so is it working? I already take mega doses of Vit D, Vit B, Q10 and Magnesium and also wear a magnetic bracelet! Will try anything other than the usual fibro "meds" at this point.

I have tried all of them. I went to a neurological conference the the topic of fibromyalgia. When I got home I ordered all the recommended supplements. That was another couple hundred dollars down the drain. Didn't help me not one bit.

I don't take any pharmaceuticals. A few years ago I had tried muscle relaxers, antidepressants, pain meds and cymbalta. Didn't work for me, didn't help at all.

Just started taking liquid plant minerals and doing Qigong. By just started, I mean, two days ago. I have tried everything else so I thought I would give this a shot and see what happens.

All my muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia feel frozen in space. I noticed that while doing Qigong last night, I could not speak the words Haula while raising my arms or lowering them. The muscles, I am guessing the diaphragm and belly, couldn't move to push the air out. This just made my suspicions a fact to me. Everything is stuck! This also happens when I am speaking more than a sentence.

I have taken DHEA for years because it helps lupus.Which I also have.I get it from compound pharmacy so I know what milligrams I am getting. When you buy it as a vitamin you haven’t any idea what Your getting. Also you need a percription for a compound.
I tried a few over the counter vitamin DHEA & I felt nothing.the compound I could feel it within a half hour.

I have a few items to suggest, one is: Zyflamend, another is LDN, more necessarily later.... uber busy today... but Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum has some to recommend... see his FB for his 'Pain' Book in addition to "From Fatigued to Fantastic" 4th Ed.... to start

I took DHEA for a year or so when I was younger. I think it was to help with mood (hormones) and energy. I didn't think my naturopath prescribed it for pain??? A compounding pharmacy's Curcumin or Turmeric and a highly absorbable Magnesium always helped me with pain. LDN also helped.

No not tried Dehydroepiandrosterone, haven't heard about it before. Looks like some areas such as artery inflammation reduction might be interesting.
