Someone told me they were on testosterone. It helped increase her libido. She was around 50 years old. Not sure of her exact age.
Some practitioners give older people testosterone injections on the hope that it might increase their bone density but I don't know if it works or not

What is well-supported are some non-drug approaches that have shown real promise for managing fibromyalgia symptoms:
- Tai chi — research shows it can outperform aerobic exercise for pain relief
- Yoga and gentle stretching — helps with muscle stiffness and tenderness
- Diet changes — some people find relief with gluten-free or anti-inflammatory diets
- Stress management — meditation, deep breathing, and therapy can reduce flare triggers
- Acupuncture — many MyFibroTeam members report meaningful relief
For something like hormone therapy, it's really worth having a direct conversation with your doctor. They can weigh the potential benefits against any risks, especially since some treatments can interact with fibromyalgia medications.
It's always best to get personalized guidance rather than going it alone on hormonal treatments — your body deserves that care! 💙
