Members connected over the frustrating experience of unexplained sweating and difficulty regulating body temperature, with many confirming that temperature dysregulation is a recognized symptom of fibromyalgia. Several members shared that they sweat heavily throughout the day and night, struggle to feel comfortable regardless of whether they're hot or cold, and have found limited relief through practical strategies like fans, cold showers, removing clothing layers, and sleeping on top of blankets rather than under them. A recurring theme was the challenge of distinguishing fibromyalgia symptoms from medication side effects or menopause, with members encouraging each other to check cortisone levels, review medication side effects, and advocate with doctors who may not fully understand how fibromyalgia affects temperature control.

i sweat because i'm so hot, i turn my fan on and i shiver because i'm too cold and this is everyday. Unfortunately Fibro makes it hard for us to control body temp and i've not found anything that can help with that at the moment. Cold showers in the evening, a fan while i sleep but a blanket as well and refreshing sprays. That's it really.

same here they made fun of us that had that problem with sweating where I last worked and blamed it on menopause but after that I realized alot of my symptoms are from fibro and I have to find a way to get through it. I have changed doctors on numerous occasions and they refuse to believe it's fibro but at the same time they don't know what it is.So they hound me about exercise and weight control.
