Members rallied around someone struggling with severe morning nausea, sharing a variety of remedies that have worked for them personally. Several members recommended natural approaches like ginger root pills, ginger tea, or ginger candies, as well as soothing drinks such as chamomile tea, kombucha, or fermented foods with probiotics, while others found relief with over-the-counter options like Gaviscon liquid taken immediately upon waking, Zantac, or even crackers kept by the bedside to settle the stomach before getting up. A recurring theme was the encouragement to talk to a doctor about prescription anti-nausea medication if symptoms worsen, while also emphasizing that finding what works best for your own body often requires trial and patience.

Gaviscon can work wonders. Have it by your bed side and take 15ml as soon as you wake try not to drink after for at least 10 mins to let it do its job.it calms the acid that builds up over night and coats the stomach walls. I use the mint flavour but there is also aniseed but that makes me gag. Tums are OK but they are very weak . Oh the Gaviscon have the liquid rather than chews it works so much faster. Hope that helps.

Kombucha helps settle my stomach. Fermented foods with probiotics in them can help. These foods include kombucha, yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, miso, and others. Ginger is another good anti-nauseant... ginger tea with honey and lemon is a favorite of mine. Ginger ale can help in a pinch. Ginger chew candies are good too.
