Gluten Intolerance
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I read an article that tried linking fibromyalgia and gluten intolerance.

Does anyone have both?

Has anyone benefitted from a gluten free diet?

Does anyone have any more information on the matter ?

I have a gluten intolerance. Haven't eaten gluten in over 3 1/2 years except for the accidental ingestion such as my mustard, worcestershire sauce and my bouillon. I thought for sure that I was going to die because I had diarrhea at least 3+ times a week for 3 1/2 years. Actually I just figured this out only a week ago. It was driving me crazy until I noticed that I was dumb and didn't see the words "barley" or "wheat" in the ingredient list even though I read all ingredients all the time. My brain just jumped over those words.

Anyway, to answer your question about there being a benefit by not eating gluten. Being gluten free has not eased my fibro pain or symptoms at all. Fibro is not caused by gluten.
