I take 600mg three times a day and it doesn't seem to phase me. It is expensive so I am considering getting rid of it. Should it be working already? I've been taking it for over a month and it really kind of makes me feel bad. I skip it a lot
Feels like my brain is being drawn down through my spinal cord. Kind of makes me loopy sometimes too.
Tramadol works fantastic but I worry about it quitting on me.

I have tried every pharmaceutical intervention they can think of for Fibro and I can honestly say none have helped. Dulpxetine helped me improve my mood when I was depressed but did not affect my pain. Opiates helped marginally initially but then did more harm than good, so I went through withdrawal and never looked back. Currently medication free and no worse off (no better either lol)
Melatonin or lavender oil. It really knocks me out and is natural. If you can't get up take it earlier in the evening. I couldn't sleep than started taking stuff and I couldn't wake up. So there is some trial and error. But keep trying to do something about it. Also having the same, I am talking the same, routine for sleep. Example. Turn tv off at 930, in bed at 10:30, same routine. Even on weekends and holidays. I also bought a sleep mask. I read about how to get your room completely black to increase your ability to stay asleep. The numbers on a clock are so distracting so the sleep mask helps with that.
I'm also on gabapentin 3x a day now. I asked my doc to put me back on it after being off of it for several years to see if it would work for this time around. What a mistake, it does not a thing for me! I should of learned my lesson from before. And no, you do not want to stop it cold turkey. You need to wean yourself off of it slowly or you'll go through horrible withdrawls and feel like death. I also have the problem that most the meds do not work me. I have taken everything possible other than most pain meds and nothing has worked for me, I currently take tramadol and Tyelonol 3 plus Norco on occasion along with all my other Fibro meds and none of it works for me. I am really at the end of my rope and do not know what to do anymore. I am seriously thinking of presenting the idea of trying Naltrexone to my doctor and seeing what he has to say. What's the worse that could happen?
Gabipentin is what I've just been put on and it's seems to be making it a bit better. But the amitriptyline at night helps me sleep even though it leaves me in a heavier fog than normal. I've taken tramadol and it didn't work for me. I have learned that meds react differently to everyone. I hope you find some relief.
@A MyFibroTeam Member NOTHING I have taken so far works like Tramadol does for me.
I actually feel normal and can do things after I take it a lot of days. Still some bad ones but the Tramadol is great. I had a doctor in NC perscribe Tramadol for me after 7 years of telling docs I was in pain.
When I came to Charleston SC nobody wanted to give it to me even after the other doctor DID !
Lucky I found a doctor that does now.
Hope you find one that will and it helps you like it has me so far.
