Members deeply related to the experience of severe fibro fog, sharing frightening moments of forgetting how to drive mid-journey, not recognizing familiar streets, losing track of conversations mid-sentence, and struggling to complete basic tasks at work and home. Several members described the emotional toll of feeling embarrassed, scared, or old beyond their years, with some noting that pain flares seem to worsen cognitive symptoms, while others mentioned that chronic sleep deprivation and medications may also play a role. A recurring theme was the isolating nature of brain fog and the comfort found in knowing they are not alone, with many emphasizing the importance of support systems, planners, and self-compassion when navigating daily life with unpredictable memory loss.

I sure know what that's like. My family members think it's funny when I forget what I'm talking about or what things are. My memory is getting worse with each flare up. Good luck and gentle hugs.

Forgetting what I'm talking about in the middle of a sentence; that's always fun. I haven't worked in several years so I don't have to deal with that every day. But, besides the pain, my foggy brain makes me want to stay home and just avoid people. Wish I could tell you it gets better but that hasn't been the case with me. It helps to have a good support system at home.

I've forgotten why I went in a particular room, but the worst was when I was driving and completely didn't know where I was or where I was going. I've started to make supper, something that I've made a million times and I have no idea how to make it. It can be really scary.

I can't seem to be able to find words. My job requires me to multitask which is impossible at times. I find myself missing details and people get so irritated at me at work. Looking for a less intense line of work. Maybe it would help
