My chemist tried me on a new Irish version of pregablin as it was 50e cheaper than Lyrica. Within two days this unfortunately caused a severe reaction of blisters and hive like skin irritation all over my body. I literally got covered in this and my face and lips swelled. I immediately stopped taking the medication and switched back to Lyrical but I'm still fighting the rash and the doctor thinks it could be the stuffing in the actual pills themselves which is protein and starch. When I first started Lyrica I got a few blisters. After increasing the dosage I started getting itchy and little blisters...after a couple of months. I have a lower dose now and plan to get off of it completely. It took several days to clear up after lowering dose. My Dr told me to take a Benadryl at night for the itching. It helped.
