Members connected over the frustrating experience of unexplained itching, with many describing intense, sometimes unbearable itchiness across their scalp, face, hands, feet, and body that could even wake them at night or cause them to scratch until bleeding. Several members shared that certain medications, particularly opioids like Oxycodone, can cause itching as a side effect, while others mentioned conditions like neuropathy, diabetes-related dry skin, and possible detox reactions as potential culprits. A recurring theme was finding relief through daily moisturizing, staying hydrated, using prescription salves or antihistamines like Zyrtec, and consulting doctors to identify medication-related triggers or underlying skin conditions.

I have days like that but I think it is attributed to one of my medications maybe.

I tend to have that problem with my hands I though it was dry skin due to my diabetes. But I have scratched until it bled.

Yes, I thought it might be one of my medications causing it. I had some prescription salve that I used and it's finally going away. It was on my left breast and it only started itching at night. It felt like I could have clawed my breast off!

Yes, yes, yes. I'm about to scratch my skin off! Scalp, face seems to be the worst, but hands, feet, legs, arms, etc. Itchy everywhere. Even wakes me up at night. Going to talk to my doc tomorrow about meds to help.

Yes it can be a side affect from some of the medication. I try to make sure to put lotion on everyday and keep my skin hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
