Members shared mixed experiences with duloxetine (Cymbalta) for fibromyalgia and nerve pain, with many reporting that it helped reduce nerve pain significantly, though several noted they felt spaced out or funky during the first few days to a week before their bodies adjusted. A recurring theme was the extreme difficulty of stopping the medication, with many members strongly cautioning that withdrawal symptoms can be severe and that it's critical to taper off very slowly under a doctor's supervision rather than stopping abruptly. Several members found the medication most effective when combined with other treatments like gabapentin, Lyrica, or tramadol, though some warned about potential drug interactions and emphasized the importance of working closely with a doctor to find the right combination.

It helps. But if you want to stop the withdrawal symptoms are way worse than fibro.

I used it et went up to 120mg et did nothing for me. But everyone is diff. et it doesn't hurt to try et if it doesn't work then go back to your MD. But need to give it a few months since it can take a month or more for meds to get into system et work:) God bless.
