My arms were red one days, so I rubbed them and there were little bumps. The more you scratch them they get bigger then they will turn to to blisters and pop. This is one crazy disease!

Members overwhelmingly confirmed experiencing similar rashes with red bumps that blister and itch intensely, with many being told by doctors that it's another manifestation of fibromyalgia, often related to chemical sensitivities, stress, or compromised immune function. Several members shared remedies that have brought them relief, including coconut oil as a daily moisturizer, cocoa butter at night, oatmeal baths with Aveeno, hydrocortisone cream for itching, and in severe cases prescription triamcinolone or prednisone shots. A recurring theme was the frustration of not knowing what triggers the rashes and the importance of ruling out other conditions like shingles, psoriatic arthritis, eczema, or contact dermatitis through proper medical evaluation.

I've had similar rashes. My primary care doctor said it's excema and prescribed a topical cream. Triamcinolone Acetonide. It definitely helped. I scratched so hard because the itching was horrible. It was on my right calf, and my left hip/outer thigh area. My skin was discolored from it too. Crazy disease indeed!

Could be an allergy to something, allergies are tough to pin point when it comes to skin as there is so much that could be going on. Food allergies such as gluten has been known to cause rashes, also medications or it could be contact dermatitis. I would get this checked out by your doctor so that you can be treated accordingly. Best wishes for a speedy diagnosis and recovery.

Could be contact dermatitis ..a lot of us are sensitive to chemicals detergents soap etc..you can buy over the counter cream for it Hydrocortizone cream...also stress can cause it to break out also..good luck...gentle hugs your way..♥ If you can see a doctor he can diagnose that type of a rash easily..♥

Yes I used to get rashes on my legs and my chest....went to the primary dr., dermatologist, etc. did blood work, food diary, tested for shingles, celiac and misc. other disorders. Nothing. Determined to be yet another fun part of Fibro. I started using only Coconut Oil as a whole body moisturizer and have not had a significant rash for almost 3 years. Small ones every once in a while, but nothing like the scratch yourself til' you bleed ones. Hope this helps :)

I also take cymbalta and just signed in to ask if anyone else gets dermatitis? It's red, then itchy, then tiny bumps that fill with fluid. Then they stick around forever just looking rashy and unfortunate. It's obnoxious. I usually only get it on my hands. Tonight it decided to crawl up my right arm.
My Doc says it's because of chemical sensitivity and to avoid the things that cause it......which is hard to do when you have no idea what could have caused it. You're supposed to keep it clean and moisturized. I use cocoa butter because lotion makes it worse. Fibromyalgia is my Everest! I will keep climbing....
