Members overwhelmingly confirmed that Lyrica (pregabalin) caused significant weight gain, with several reporting increases of 20 to 45 pounds, often concentrated in the stomach area, and one member sharing the distressing experience of being mistaken for pregnant. Many members described increased appetite and cravings that made food taste exceptionally good, while a few noted they were able to manage the weight by being more mindful about portion control and eating habits. A recurring theme was frustration with the medication's side effects, leading several members to wean off Lyrica entirely, especially when it failed to provide adequate pain relief despite the unwanted weight gain.

Reading that everyone gained weight made me more conscious of my eating. I am more hungry and food is so delicious. I was scared of gaining weight and portioned my food. I actually lost weight

I have read from many people that Gabapentin increases weight significantly. That is why I don't take it even if dr pushes it. Thank God I gave been ok without it. Lyrica is supposed to be the sister of Gabapentin so maybe yes it is that medicine.
