Several months ago I had recurring nail infection in my fingers, different nails and very painful. It seemed as soon as one cleared up another one was fast on its heels. I use tea tree oil have found it to be the best anti fungal . Was Madge the manicurist for over 20 years and used tea tree oil on clients. Of course it's my go to go so many things
If it is just on your toe nail, I've been reading that Vicks rub or coconut oil will get rid of it. I hope it works for you, if you decide to try it. :)
I have found washing with cider vinager at least once a day gets rid of several types infections and warts. Its takes a long time.
I have had two infections in the last eight months and neither would heal without multiple type of antibiotic. I was worried I would lose my finger. I do get acrylic on my nails and my nail tech became concerned it was contact dermatitis. I have ceased on the acrylic for now. Have had nails done for years and never had this problem before. Fibro for ten years and November of last year was the first outbreak.
You can buy over the counter fungus medicine for all nails and is safe I have the same problem
