Members connected over the embarrassing experience of profuse sweating with minimal activity, with many identifying Cymbalta as a primary culprit, noting that sweating often intensified at higher doses and returned when the medication was restarted. Several members shared coping strategies including keeping fans nearby, using cold wet washcloths on the neck, showering multiple times daily, and carrying tissues to prevent sweat from dripping into their eyes. A recurring theme was the social embarrassment of sweating in public, at work, or even fresh out of the shower, with members expressing frustration over the unpredictability and intensity of this symptom.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Be careful I have heard Cymbaita isn't good for you. I have read that it causes or can cause kidney and liver problems or damage. As a matter of fact the doctor should do a blood test I think every so often to see if you are having any kidney or liver problems from the drug. Also Savella doesn't have a very good record either and I don't think works as well as Cymbaita that is probably why your doctor won't change it. Lyrica seems to be the one that is doing well but there are a lot of side effects the same as Cymbaita. Apparently they are working on new drugs and improvements to the Lyrica. I only know what I read I have never taken them. I don't take any drugs for my Fibromyalgia I just put up with the aches and when I exercise it improves. When it rains is the worst for me. Sounds like that is a side effect the sweating. I have read that sweating is related to the heart, some people that get sweating are having heart problems. But that might not be your case.

Yes, there are A LOT of us on here with the same issue. Mine seems to always show up in public while in a store shopping or checking out. By the time I leave my hair is soaked and it looks like I've been swimming or something. I also start sweating fresh out of the shower, cleaning the kitchen, making my bed (and I keep my ceiling fan on medium). And I sometimes wake up sweating. What is worse, is when I cool down I sometimes have chills.

you know- I am the opposite- I do not sweat or perspire anymore, I find it hard to keep myself warm I am post menopausal and I think that a lot of meds cause this.. maybe ask at H&B shop for a herbal to counteract this if your meds are keeping your pain under control.

I also start sweating profusely. It's very embarrassing. I can be sitting at home just watching tv and bam!!! Sweat pouring down my face. It really bothers me at work, I'm a cashier and I have to keep a fan blowing on me constantly. When I'm home a get a cold wet washcloth and drape it around my neck to keep cool. I'm on Cymbalta and that is one of the side effects.I don't know what else to try when the overheating starts to happen, it's almost unbearable at times.
