Thanku doctors referring me for hydrotherapy now anyways so think I'll try that before I try acupuncture x

There is lack quality evidence to prove that acupuncture works for anything, let alone fibro. This being said, I haven't actually tried it myself - mainly because I don't even think the placebo effect will work on me. You're better off trying something like hydrotherapy with gentle exercise, I find hot water does me the world of good!

However, here is a really good link: http://www.cochrane.org/CD007070/MUSKEL_acupuncture-for-fibromyalgia# this may help you make an educated decision, as it did show in a small sample size (only 400 people) that their pain scores decreased slightly after having acupuncture.
