Has Anyone Had Injections In Their Neck? Do They Work And How Bad Does It Hurt To Have Them Done?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Wednesday June 8th I am having injections in my neck to hopefully bring the inflammation down from the 4 bulging discs I have, My neck and upper part of my shoulders hurt constantly and the pain even radiates down the middle of my back. So tired of the pain but darn sure don't want surgery. Could I have some input into what you all think of the injections? My back injections I had years ago didn't work but they've come a long way in improving the results of the shots. At least that is what… read more

Hi @A MyFibroTeam Member, I had 3 steroid injections each side of my neck. It is bad. Ask for sedation. They offered me sedation as they were trying to get the 6th needle in. If you are tense and scared, it's harder for everyone. If you have sedation, problem solved. That's only my opinion. Hope it goes well. Let us know xxx oh, they used x-ray to see too. It was around 7/8 years ago. Xx

Good luck Rozebudd62, they have come along way since I had my first series of back injections 20yrs ago. The dr. then just kept jabbing my spine, I thought I was dieing it hurt so bad. My surgeon now does it under an x-ray machine and can pinpoint exactly the problem. He has done my hips and back several times and he is waiting for me to have my neck done too because he said my MRI showed that my neck is even in worse shape! My husband is afraid because a friend of ours had her neck done by a different dr. at a big name hospital and they punctured her lungs and she went through a lot after that. But I will have it done one of these days, discs are gone and nerves are pinched, Arthritis and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome are taking it's toll. Let us know how you do, ok? xoxo ♡

@A MyFibroTeam Member, the procedure went very well. It didn't hurt as much as the last ones and they covered a different area. So far I am pain free on the right side of my neck, shoulder and upper back. I feel so blessed today. And my husband and I got me a 2005 Ford Five Hundred AWL. He has a 2006 one for him that he's had for 2 years and now I have one. It's black with beige interior, leather seats too. Today is just my lucky day. God Bless you for you concern and have a good day. Many hugs

Thank you all for your responses. I am really nervous to get these shots and I hope and pray that they do give me something to calm my nerves with before and during the procedure. I will let everyone know how it goes on Wednesday. God Bless and many hugs.
