Hi everyone! I'm wondering if anyone else gets extremely exhausted after having been under a lot of stress? I feel like I haven't slept for weeks!!

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that stress triggers profound exhaustion in fibromyalgia, with many describing a cycle where stress leads to poor sleep, which in turn worsens stress and anxiety, leaving them feeling drained for days. Several members shared practical coping strategies including magnesium and vitamin B6 supplements, yoga for flexibility and stress management, low-dose medications like Vistaril or Xanax to calm an overactive nervous system, breathing and relaxation exercises, and simply allowing themselves two to three days of rest to recover. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood by loved ones, and struggling with a nervous system that feels raw and difficult to calm down, met with deep empathy and encouragement from the community.

Yes I get stressed very easily. It's like my nervous system starts to spin or gets revved up and it's really hard to slow it and calm back down. I take vistaril and very low dose of Xanax to help me with this. They help. It's like my nervous system is raw. I feel overwhelmed, and feel like I'm choking back tears. God bless us all. Big hug.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I'm sorry to repeat myself, this is like the 4th time I've answered questions with this. But magnesium and vit b6 might be helpful to you. Also calcium taken separate from magnesium. These are all absolutely essential for fibromyalgia. Hope this helps.

Yes, I am exhausted right now which is so unusual for me cause summers used to be best for me but I have been under a lot of stress!! Of course Fibro is all about nerves and muscles and just fighting the pain is exhausting for our body. I find the only way to end the exhaustion is two or three days in bed!
